We thank the Lord that we have access to the Bible, and also the interpreted word that we may comprehend the word of God and also apply it in our Christian living. We encourage the saints to read the reference books mentioned during the conferences that covered each subject. Please refer to the books mentioned in the BookRoom announcements section.

Next Corporate Lord’s table (April 13th)

The brothers are considering to have the next corporate Lord’s table on April 13th, taking the opportunity to fellowship when the saints visiting from France will be in the Toronto area.

Semi-annual Summer Training

The Semi-annual Training will begin on June 30th. For saints intending to join Toronto for the Video training, $180 CAD per person donation should be paid in full for registration to be complete. The registration deadline is April 26th. Each person can register as full time or part time (note that shared seats are intended for babysitting only). We recommend using electronic transfer for the donation (by following the instructions here: https://newsletter.thelocalchurchintoronto.org/online-offerings/ but write “VIDEO – Registered Name” in the message box), or please hand the payment to the registration serving ones with “VIDEO – Registered Name” on the envelope.

Spring 2025 Eastern Canada Young People’s Conference (April 18–20)

The Spring Eastern Canada YP Conference will be held at the meeting hall of the Church in Montreal during the weekend of April 18–20. A number of French-speaking YP from Europe will be joining this time, so register early to reserve a hospitality spot. Please register online: https://forms.gle/KoRUDBHTiAYE7Yot6 by April 1st. For YP in Toronto, please pay for the $75 registration fee using e-Transfer.

2024 Tax Donation Receipts

Your 2024 tax donation receipts can now be picked up outside the main hall. Please check your email as some receipts have been emailed out.

International Memorial Day Blending Conference (May 23–26 in Phoenix, AZ)

This year’s International Memorial Day Blending Conference will be held from May 23–26 at Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, Phoenix Grand Ballroom, located at 340 North 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Hotel:
Sheraton Phoenix Downtown has a special group rate of $129.00 USD per night plus tax for single and double occupancy rooms. Burden for Downtown Toronto

May our prayer for the saints in Toronto be for Christ’s further inward building into all of our hearts, and for the saints to be builded together into one Body. In the matter of the downtown property at 98 Harbord, we thank the Lord for the successful purchase, and we still seek His counsel for all the considerations regarding the residential tenants, future planning, required permits, and vendors for renovation. In His timing, may the Lord grant us the fully occupancy of the building, and the best utilization of the space for His increase in this city. (Let us continue to designate our offerings towards “Downtown”).

Shuttle Service

The local church in Toronto would like to resume our shuttle service from the corner of Lawrence Ave. & Carnforth Rd. to the meeting hall. The shuttle phone number is 437-262-9119. Saints who would like to avail of the shuttle service, please call or send an SMS text with an approximate arrival time to the corner so that serving saints can arrange pick up.

Morning pursuit (Tuesday and Wednesday)

All saints are welcome to join Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 to 10:15 AM. The direction for each session is detailed below.

• Tuesdays: Truth Pursuit. A time to present and share our learnings and enjoyments from the Life-Study messages for the week
• Wednesdays: Watchman Prayer. Corporate Prayer for the Lord’s move in Europe, Canada and USA, next generation, etc., accompanied with ministry reading.

Offerings

We appreciate the saints’ continued financial giving towards the church. Funds can go into one of the following categories:

“General” or “Work” or “Saints Care” or “Video” or “Books” or “Building”

The serving saints have noticed that some funds have been going into the church’s donation accounts but designated to named individuals. This type of donation through the church account is NOT permitted under government (CRA) regulations.

If the saints wish to do so, they can give the funds directly to the person, or to remain anonymous, they can place cash in a sealed envelope and hand it to the district brothers, who can relay it to the offering brothers for delivery.
